Portland, Ore. – Jul 14, 2009 – Audinate announced that the newly opened Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, PA has chosen Audinate’s Dante™ audio networking solution as the foundation for its complete AV system. The $743 million casino uses state-of-the-art audio equipment which is all seamlessly connected, controlled and managed using Dante.
Dante offers a no-hassle, self configuring, true plug-and-play digital audio network using standard internet protocols. To route audio and control data, Dante replaces cumbersome analog cables with a simple Ethernet cable. In addition, Dante provides sample-accurate timing with very low latency to enable pristine audio to be transported across the network. Dante operates readily on both 100Mbps and 1 Gigabit Ethernet networks.
Using Dante, incorporated into Peavey’s MediaMatrix NION DSP system, Sands connected over 250 speakers throughout the casino property creating 34 independent zones. Each zone is capable of delivering unique audio content to patrons in that location. While zones can operate independently they can all be controlled and managed from a single kiosk using Audinate’s networking solution. This gives the staff flexibility to administer the full network from any AV kiosk in the casino.
“Sands Casino Resort is one of the leading casinos and is recognized for its use of innovative technology and advanced AV systems. We are very pleased to see that Audinate was selected to simplify the installation of this complex network, while delivering a high performance and flexible AV networked system,” said Lee Ellison, CEO, Audinate.
